Ulrich Schnittker is a lawyer and advises and represents the clients - primarily banks and companies, but private individuals as well - in and out of court in all matters of banking law and related civil law areas as well as labor law. His focus is in particular on advising and representing executive bodies in connection with the drafting of contracts, but also in recourse cases. He also provides dispute resolution support.

Ulrich Schnittker speaks fluent English.

He is a member of the German Bar Association and the Münster Bar Association. He is also deputy chairman of the supervisory board of an energy cooperative and chairman of the "Bankfachwirte" (banking specialists) examination board at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Münster.

From 1978 to 1984, Ulrich Schnittker studied law and business administration at the University of Münster. He passed his first state law exam in 1985 and his second state law exam in 1989, both in North Rhine-Westphalia. Between 1988 and 2022, he worked - mostly in executive positions - as a jurist at the Cooperative Association – Association of Regions and its predecessor associations and since 1994 as a lawyer - including as Head of Legal and General Counsel, most recently as General Counsel. He also held a number of board positions in the cooperative network, including at BVR, DGRV, DG-Verlag and ADG in Montabaur. In 2022, he joined law firm Streitbörger as a lawyer and Of Counsel; he has held the same position at Grüter since 2024.
