Thorsten Schäckel counsels companies nationwide in the field of individual and collective labor law. One of his specialties is assisting with group-wide and company-wide restructurings and organizational changes, including negotiations with employee representatives and unions. In addition, Thorsten Schäckel advises in all typical matters of co-determination rights (e.g. working time models, compensation structures and issues pertaining to the modern digital working world). His work encompasses nationwide representation in arbitration committees as well as labor law proceedings.
Thorsten Schäckel studied law in Münster and completed his legal internship at the Hamm Higher Regional Court. After being admitted to the bar in 1997, Thorsten Schäckel did his doctorate at the University of Münster in 2000; he was admitted to practice as a specialized attorney in labor law in 2002.
Thorsten Schäckel speaks fluent English.
He is a member of the Labor Law working group in the German Bar Association (Deutsche Anwaltverein).
