Industrial property rights

We counsel our clients in the areas of competition, trademark, patent and copyright law when it comes to protecting and using both their technical and commercial innovations and their intellectual property.

This not only includes enforcing their rights against possible infringing parties, but also creating the legal framework required for successful marketing of the products and intellectual property as well as the underlying projects. In the area of information technology, this especially includes – in addition to overseeing data protection interests – the contractual drafting of software and IT projects, among other things in the fields of Industry 4.0 and IoT (Internet of Things), as well as the associated embedding into purchasing and sales structures.

Design law has also been part of our consulting practice for decades. Our services in this field not only entail developing a strategy for claiming efficient protection of the external design of your industrial or handcrafted products and parts thereof. We also ensure international design protection in this regard, if necessary. In addition to filing the national and international application for protection of property rights, we also represent our clients in the associated property right infringement and other proceedings before the Federal Patent Office and/or the European Union Intellectual Property Office.
