On-the-job training will be paramount in your training with us. To this end, you will be supported by “your” partner and will receive constructive and regular feedback. This 1:1 relationship is very important for your education.

You will be involved with clients from day one. You will not be sitting in the backoffice. We value the fact that we have harmonized teams across all fields of law working for clients at our office. We support and promote our employees building their own clientele.

We employ a multilevel career model: Associate, Junior and Full Partner or Junior Counsel and Counsel:

For the first five years, you will be assigned to a dedicated mentor as an Associate and will be encouragingly guided towards your next challenging career step.

Thereafter, you will have two alternative career paths open to you: the path from Junior Counsel to Counsel or from Junior Partner to Full Partner. For both career objectives, after completing your time as an Associate you will undergo about three years of preparation to become Full Partner or Counsel, among other things by you assuming responsibility for counseling clients as part of your continuing education. Furthermore, you will already be integrated into further decision-making processes.

During the eighth year, you will come to a fork in your career path. You will then be appointed as Counsel or become a Full Partner. Although there are no differences with respect to requirements regarding professional excellence, both positions have different emphases when it comes to the setting of acquisition-related and economic objectives.

Tailored special solutions, including for issues like part-time employment, are not a taboo for us – for all career steps.

Your competencies as an attorney should include the following:

• Honors degree
• Business fluent English
• Study abroad (e.g. for an LL.M.) a plus
• Doctorate preferred

We consider personality and individuality equally important as grades and titles. We hold regular events for our junior staff such as social get-togethers or sporting events – after all, we would like to get to know you!
